Westlake Baseball League is looking for student umpires. Any co-ed student who is currently in grades 7-12 and has general baseball knowledge. Applicants must attend our umpire training program in April / May (TBD) and will be considered based on a first come first serve basis, along with their baseball knowledge and their ability to manage a game.

Applicant must:

Be available throughout baseball season – middle of May thru end of July.

Field and behind the plate umps are expected to make calls loud enough for players and coaches to hear.

Behind the plate umpires are the ones in charge of the play of the game.

Update WBL Manager of Umpire Operations immediately with any changes in availability, especially if already scheduled to umpire a game so a sub can be found.

Failure to umpire a game without sufficient prior notification may result in less games to umpire.
